The Toyota Yaris is a city car available as afull hybrid (HEV). We tested it in the top-of-the-range Première trim. The Design trim is priced at €23,450.
Compared to the Première version tested by Les Numériques, the Design trim removes many features from the Yaris, including 17″ alloy wheels (replaced by 16″ models), head-up display, blind spot monitoring, induction charging, dual-zone climate control, 8″ touchscreen (replaced by a 7″ panel), JBL audio system, half-leather upholstery and panoramic roof.
As for the rest, the Yaris Hybrid is very pleasant in the city, thanks to its smooth operation. However, it quickly shows its limits on the highway, with just enough performance and significant noise pollution. During our test drive, we noted an average consumption of 4.5 l/100 km, which is really very reasonable.
