The Toyota Yaris is a city car available as afull hybrid (HEV). We tested it in the top-of-the-range Première trim. The Dynamic trim is the entry-level model and costs €21,950.

Compared to the Première version tested by Les Numériques, the Dynamic trim removes a lot of equipment from the Yaris, including fog lights, 17″ alloy wheels (replaced by 15″ sheet metal models), instrument screen, head-up display, blind spot monitoring, induction charger, dual-zone climate control, 8″ touch screen (replaced by a 7″ panel), JBL audio system, half-leather upholstery, panoramic roof, and electric rear windows.

As for the rest, the Yaris Hybrid is very pleasant in the city, thanks to its smooth operation. However, it quickly shows its limits on the highway, with just enough performance and significant noise pollution. During our test drive, we noted an average consumption of 4.5 l/100 km, which is really very reasonable.
