Last night, Snapchat once again faced a big technical issue. Whether it was on Downdetector, or Twitter, thousands of users reported malfunctions with the Snapchat app. For most of them, as soon as they opened the application, it crashed immediately.
Without wasting any time, the Twitter account “Snapchat Support” has acknowledged the technical problem and said that teams are already looking into where the malfunction could come from.
We’re aware of an issue preventing some Snapchatters from logging in. Hang tight, we are looking into it and working on a fix!

Snapchat fixes the problem quickly
It took Snapchat only 5 hours to locate the problem and fix it. If the problem persists, the social network advises its users to manually force the update of the application. This bug mainly concerned users of the iOS application.
The issue has been resolved. If you’re still having trouble, please manually update your app in the App Store!

Alongside this quickly resolved technical issue, Snapchat continues to innovate to provide the best possible experience on its app. Ghost demonstrated this very recently by updating SnapMap with a new feature that allows you to keep memories of the last places you visited. With this feature, Snapchat now offers recommendations based on your favorite places.
Today, while Snapchat seems somewhat deserted by its early adopters, the social network continues to grow. In the third quarter of 2021, Snapchat even broke a growth record. Evan Spiegel, Snapchat’s CEO, said of this, “Snapchat has seen inflection points in key behaviors such as posting Stories and engagement with Snap Map.”
