Samsung Galaxy S21 FE could be another of the announcements of the big event Unpacked that the South Korean firm will hold in August to present its new foldable smartphones and liven up a summer that is standing out for the lack of news. It is usual in the technology industry and we will not recover the activity until the ‘back to school’ in September.
The model that concerns us would be the economic variant of the flagship of the brand, the Galaxy S21. The ‘FE’ treatment was debuted (with great sales success) with the S20 and Samsung describes them as ‘Fan Edition’. The idea is the same: to offer a high-end handset at a reduced price.

Rumored for months, the terminal has returned to the forefront of the news when last week was spotted on the website of the Chinese regulator TENAA (a previous step of certification of devices before launch) while new images were published by the leaked Evan Blass.
According to the information, we would find a copy of the S21 in terms of design, with a screen of reduced frames only interrupted by a small front camera perforated in the upper center of the same, and a smooth back on which stands out the vertical camera module located in the upper left corner. It is unknown if the firm would use the aluminum frame or bet on polycarbonate to reduce costs.
Samsung would maintain the high quality screen with a 6.4-inch OLED panel and a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. The storage capacity would remain at 128 GB (top variant with 256 GB), but the RAM will be reduced to 6 GB in its base configuration (the top version would have 8 GB). As for its engine, the Exynos 2100 SoC will be used.
The performance of the rear camera would be located halfway between those installed in the S20 FE and <a href=”https://www.muycomputer.com/2021/04/26/galaxy-s21-5g-camaras/” target=”_blank” rthe=”nofollow noopener”>the spectacular S21s, with triple sensor, 32 MP main sensor, a 12 MP wide-angle and an 8 MP telephoto lens. It would have the fingerprint sensor on the screen and would support 45W fast charging to power a 4,500 mAH battery. Of course, there will be no shortage of advanced connectivity with 5G and Wi-Fi 6.
As for pricing, we take for granted a substantial cut on the launch price of the S21, between $599 and $699 with Android 11 pre-installed and four color variants, black, purple, olive green and white. It’s unconfirmed, but it could be another of the Unpacked announcements. Samsung wants to maintain its leadership in smartphone sales and this S21 FE is an important model to add sales.
