It’s been a few months now since the launch of the 9 series models, and OnePlus is now focusing on the mid-range, with the launch of the Nord CE 5G models and early chatter about the Nord 2 and N200. But that doesn’t mean OnePlus isn’t working on something else, and rumors are already starting to circulate about the future of the top-end OnePlus 9T: let’s find out the first details about specs, display and more.
Update 27/07: A new leak raises the possibility that the OnePlus 9T may not make it to market. Find all the details inside the “Price and release date rumors” section.

well-known Chinese leaker offers us what should be the first details regarding the OnePlus 9T’s display, obviously to be taken with a grain
Although this is a leak, it’s still plausible: the device should adopt the same LTPO panel seen on board the OnePlus 9 Pro. It would therefore be a Samsung AMOLED E4 solution with curved edges and refresh rate up to 120 Hz (variable). Unlike the Pro model (Quad HD+), the 9T should instead have a Full HD+ resolution. In short, it should be a very respectable display, albeit with some small “shortcomings” compared to its big brother. Finally, there will be no OnePlus 9T Pro: the tradition was started (and ended) with the 7T Pro
OnePlus likely to use Samsung’s 120Hz LTPO E4 Flexible Screen in the OnePlus 9T. 1080P Resolution + Variable RR. There’s no 9T Pro this year.

We’d like to point out this in-depth look at LTPO technology
, which will help you better understand this new feature.
Hardware & SoftwareThere’s still
no word on the specs of the next OnePlus flagship, but we can already start to speculate. The device could follow in the footsteps of current models and have the Snapdragon 888 on board. However, there is a possibility: the first devices with Snapdragon 888+ (fresh from launch
) will arrive in Q3 2021 and maybe Oneplus 9T could be one of the top of the range devices equipped with the chipset.
Of course, there is no certainty and we remain waiting for news. As for the software part, leaks talk about the presence of native ColorOS 11 for the Chinese version of the flagship: nothing new, given the strong “rapprochement” between OP and OPPO. For our part we could add that at the memory level we should have support for Virtual RAM, a technology that we have extensively illustrated in this in-depth study
moment, little or nothing is known about the photo compartment of OnePlus 9T. However, remember that the st
it company has made two camera technologies official – Super Panoramic Camera and Bionic Lens
. Which of these will be on board the device and which one will arrive with the next generation top instead? Obviously as soon as we know more we will update this article with all the details.
Meanwhile, a leaker “confirms” again the collaboration with Hasselblad, although it is not clear whether it will be again at the software level and if the company will also put hand in the photographic comporto. Speaking of the latter, there are rumors of a 108 MP main sensor, presumably (but the source does not specify) a Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX module.
OnePlus 9T: rumors about price and release
OnePlus 9T and its new features are still few, even when it comes to price and release period. If the company will decide to follow what we saw with OP 8T (of which you can find our review
here), then it is likely that the new smartphone will arrive during the first half of October 2021.
However, an indiscretion anticipates the release period and refers to the third quarter of 2021: this means that the device could arrive between July and September, more likely during
To cool down the previous news on the subject, however, could be a new leak by Max Jambor
on Twitter, usually very attentive to the vicissitudes of the brand, which in a very short message indicates that there may not even be a OnePlus 9T on the market. The news is somewhat of a stir as it’s been since 3T that the brand hasn’t missed this date. Could this be another dross from the merger with OPPO? Obviously these are rumors and nothing should be considered as concrete, until of course official news. ⭐️ Follow and support GizChina on Google News: click on the star to bookmark us.
