On August 11, Samsung will present its new products during an Unpacked event. But the manufacturer did not wait for this date to reveal some information about the products that will be presented during this event.
If Samsung’s official invitation already clearly indicated that the August 11 Unpacked will be dedicated to its new folding smartphones, the manufacturer has just published another video. This time, it is a trailer. In this one, the manufacturer first shows some models of other companies that have marked the mobile market. Then, it reveals the silhouette of its next folding smartphone, the successor of the Galaxy Z Fold 2.
The video doesn’t reveal everything, but it gives us a little preview.

No Galaxy Note, but an S Pen for folding smartphones
For his part, Samsung’s mobile division boss TM Roh also published a blog post to talk about the manufacturer’s new products. “[…] we ended up creating a whole new category with the launch of the Galaxy Fold. And we didn’t stop there. We continued to improve the category with our second generation of foldables, the Galaxy Z Fold2 and the Galaxy Z Flip, with more screen and more features that you now know and love. I’m excited to say that our third generation of foldable devices will open up amazing new multitasking capabilities and improved durability for even more people around the world, “ he says.
TM Roh also confirmed that this year, Samsung will not launch any new Galaxy Note smartphones. Instead, the manufacturer will unveil an S Pen stylus that has been specifically designed for its folding devices.
Finally, on the software side, Samsung is also expected to introduce new apps optimized for folding smartphones. “For our third generation Galaxy Z phones, we have lined up even more partner apps that make the most of the versatile foldable form factor. From hands-free optimized video calling with Google Duo and Flex mode video viewing on YouTube to multitasking in Microsoft Teams, our foldable ecosystem will offer a multitude of experiences fThe mobile division’s boss said: “We’re looking forward to a morerobust and optimized design.
On the other hand, Samsung is expected to make design improvements to increase the robustness of its folding smartphones.
It remains to be seen how much these new folding smartphones will cost. According to rumors, encouraged by the sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Samsung would have decided to increase the production of folding smartphones compared to previous years. And a price cut would also be planned.
Let’s not forget the new watches
The stars of the Unpacked event on August 11 will be the new folding smartphones from Samsung. However, the manufacturer should also take advantage of this event to present new watches: the Galaxy Watch 4 series. And these products will also be very important since they will mark a new era in the industry.
In May, Google and Samsung announced a partnership that aims to merge their platforms in order to offer more interesting and powerful products. And normally, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 4 series will be the first to benefit from this new platform combining the advantages of Wear OS and Tizen.
