The offers proposed in addition to the Arlo cameras evolve: Smart changes its name to Secure, and new services are added.
Change of formula at Arlo. Smart becomes Secure, and the offer is enriched with new services to better support users of the brand’s cameras over time. In case of theft, Arlo Secure subscribers will be able to benefit from a free replacement and a one-year warranty extension is also added to the premium offer. Formerly called Smart Elite, this one is maintained under the name Secure Plus, but Arlo abandons the formula planned for a camera. Only the basic package remains for one or more cameras, with no limit. The limit of 5 cameras is indeed dropped in passing.

Additional services that are reflected in the prices
Arlo Secure also keeps all the services available with Smart. There is of course access to the cloud of Arlo for the storage of recordings – up to 2K for 30 days with Secure and up to 4K for 60 days with Secure Plus -, as well as smart notifications: understand the detection of people, animals, vehicles and packages, but also the detection of smoke detector alarms. Still on the level of notifications, commands are added to allow, for example, to trigger the siren more quickly, and Arlo Secure also allows to take advantage of activity zones and configure emergency contacts.
The arrival of new services unfortunately brings a small price increase. The basic package goes from €2.79 to €2.99/month for one camera and from €8.99 to €9.99/month for several, while you’ll have to shell out €14.99 each month for Secure Plus, compared to €13.99 for Smart Elite. Note that a three-month trial is still included with all Arlo products, and that Smart subscribers will continue to benefit from their offer if they don’t ask to switch. Remember that it is almost essential to subscribe to Smart or Secure to enjoy Arlo cameras. Without a subscription, you’ll have to make do with live feeds and motion notifications.
